Two New Short Smokes From Plasencia Shipping Today
Plasencia Cigars has added a short size to two of its lines: Reserva Original and Alma Fuerte Colorado. Both cigars are part of what Plasencia is calling the Short Smokes Collection, and they began shipping to retailers today.
The new Plasencia Reserva Original Corona Corta measures 3 7/8 inches by 48 ring gauge and has a suggested retail price of $7.99 each. According to the company, Reserva Original is the industry’s only cigar made entirely of 100 percent certified organic tobacco, meaning that it was cultivated without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. The Corona Corta brings the line to five sizes.
For Plasencia’s Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro line, the short smoke is called Robusto Corto, a 4-by-52 cigar that retails for $14.99 each. Colorado Claro is a less powerful spinoff from the full-bodied Alma Fuerte brand, and is rolled in a lighter wrapper that Plasencia says has been aged for 10 years. The Robusto Corto brings the line to four sizes.
Both cigars come in 20-count boxes, consist entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco grown by the Plasencia family and are made in Nicaragua at Plasencia Cigars S.A.
