Quai D’Orsay Concordia Edición Limitada 2026 Launching In The Fall
Things have been pretty quiet in regards to Cuba’s Edición Limitadas for this year, but recently there’s been a stir and it’s coming from the Iberian Peninsula. In October, we’ll see the debut of the Quai d’Orsay Concordia, an Edición Limitada for 2026. It’s the first EL of the year for Cuba, and possibly the only one.
Oddly enough, the launch party for this new smoke isn’t taking place in France—after all, the brand started as a French regional cigar—but rather in neighboring Spain. The event happens on October 24th at Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, and was orchestrated by Spanish Habanos distributor Tabacalera S.L.U. along with local enthusiast group Club Pasión Habanos.
The Quai d’Orsay Concordia measures 5 3/4 inches long by 50 ring gauge, an unusual, seldom-seen size known as Preciosos in Cuban cigar factories. This is only the second time Habanos has created such a size, the first being the Montecristo L’Esprit, which came out in 2023 in a special-edition S.T. Dupont 50-count humidor.
This release marks only the second time that the Quai d’Orsay brand was chosen as an Edición Limitada (the Quai d’Orsay Senadores was a limited edition for 2019).
There’s no word on pricing for the Quai d’Orsay Concordia, and photos have not been released. Nor do we know when the cigars will ship to the rest of the world—or if there are even going to be any more Edición Limitadas for 2026 at all. Most often there are three per year, but Cuba has skipped entire years (such as 2022, 2023 and 2002) and has released only one or two in other years.
Announcements for the year’s Edición Limitadas are typically made during the annual Habanos Festival in Cuba, but this year’s Festival was canceled, and Habanos S.A., which controls the Cuban cigar industry and its worldwide distribution, has so far been silent on the matter.
Quai d’Orsay was released in 1974 exclusively for France with a bit of distribution in Switzerland. It remained a small, mostly regional line, and over the following decades, most of the original Quai d’Orsay sizes were discontinued. The brand seemed destined for deletion until 2017, when Habanos S.A. announced that Quai d’Orsay was being transitioned into a global brand. New, larger sizes with glossy, modernized labels were unveiled that same year at the world premiere in Paris. Quai d’Orsay cigars are now available around the world.
