Oliva Launching Limited Edition Serie V Melanio
Last year’s limited-edition Serie V Melanio from Oliva Cigar Co. had a musical theme. This year, Oliva returns to its roots with a release the company calls “a tribute to the tobacco leaf.”
The Oliva Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2025 Robusto Extra will be unveiled tomorrow in Dortmund, Germany, at the Intertabac trade show and will ship to the world right afterward. It measures 5 inches by 54 ring gauge, comes in 10-count boxes and has a suggested retail price of $18 each. These cigars are composed of an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper around Nicaraguan tobacco that Oliva grows on its own farms. Like all Serie V cigars, the limited edition was made at the Tabolisa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
As for the thinking behind this year’s release, company CEO Fred Vandermarliere explains: “Oliva’s raison d’être revolves wholeheartedly around preserving and perfecting something pure, something that cannot be fabricated or rushed. Something that lies buried deep within every cigar until it awakens through the dynamics between tobacco and aficionado. That is why each year I look forward to the Oliva Serie V Melanio Limitada . . . an ode to the most beautiful story: the cycle that turns pure seeds into exclusive cigars.”
