J.C. Newman Shipping Bricktoberfest 2025
J.C. Newman is shipping the 2025 version of its Bricktoberfest cigar, an annually-released smoke intended to be paired with the German lagers typically served during the famous beer festival of Oktoberfest. Shipping to retailers this week, the cigar will be available just in time for the festival, which runs September 20 to October 5.
While all Bricktoberfest cigars are made at J.C. Newman’s PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, the cigars differ somewhat every year. This year’s release is a pigtailed Churchill measuring 7 3/4 inches by 48 ring gauge and consists of an Ecuador Havana rosado wrapper atop Nicaraguan binder and filler. It ships in boxes of 10, and has a suggested retail price of $12 per cigar. A total of 1,400 boxes have been produced.
Bricktoberfest is an offshoot of the company’s Brick House brand, which was inspired by the childhood home of founder Julius Caeser Newman.
“My grandfather, J.C. Newman, was born in the only house made out of brick in a small village in Austria-Hungary,” says Eric Newman, president of the company and a member of the Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame. “He lived with his family on the second floor while the first floor was the local tavern and general store. The Brick House cigar label depicts his family’s home. My ancestors gathered in the original brick house to relax and celebrate with beer and cigars 150 years ago, and Bricktoberfest is the perfect way to celebrate the season with beer and Brick House cigars today.”
For those who enjoy a tall glass of beer as they smoke, if you purchase 10 Brick House cigars from participating retailers, you will receive a free traditional Oktoberfest beer stein hand-painted with Brick House and Bricktoberfest imagery.
