It has been a fun couple of years for fans of the Michigan Wolverines. In 2023, the football program was crowned national champions, their first title since 1997. Then earlier this year, the basketball team capped a dominant season with a win over the UConn Huskies to capture their first title since 1989. Victory cigars have surely been a part of the celebrations in The Great Lake State, but now the basketball program is getting its very own line of commemorative, championship smokes.

The latest release comes from Bocock Brothers, a Houston-based, boutique cigarmaker that specializes in officially-licensed, collegiate cigars. The limited-edition smokes are dubbed the Michigan National Champions Cigars. The smokes come in boxes of 10, with only one size: a Maduro Toro measuring 6 inches long by 52 ring gauge. The suggested retail price is $290 a box, or $29 per stick.

“Michigan basketball has a legacy that speaks for itself and this championship is one for the ages,” says Bryant Bocock, co-founder of Bocock Brothers Premium Cigars. “We could not be more fired up to celebrate this moment with Wolverine fans everywhere.”

The cigars come packaged in flashy boxes, featuring Michigan’s iconic maize and blue coloration and the official national champions logo on the outside. Inside, the bold Michigan “M” is prominently displayed on the inside lid, atop the university’s signature “Go Blue” rallying cry.

As with all Bocock smokes, the cigars are made at the company’s factory in Danlí, Honduras. The blend consists of a Honduran maduro wrapper, Honduran binder and filler tobacco from Honduras, Nicaragua and Paraguay.

The cigars are available now on the Bocock Brothers website and through the company’s network of retail partners, including a number of brick-and-mortar tobacconists in the state of Michigan.
