The festivals and fireworks for Chinese Lunar New Year have ended, but 2025 is still Year of The Snake—at least, according to the Chinese zodiac—and Habanos S.A. chose the Partagás brand to celebrate this occasion all year round. The commemorative Cuban Partagás Cedros is coming to Switzerland on October 21 at La Casa del Habano franchise shops, and then at official Habanos Specialist retailers throughout the country the following week.

The cigars were first announced during this year’s Habanos Festival in February, and have been slowly staggering into global markets ever since (regions such as the United Kingdom and Asia Pacific already have them). Now, Switzerland gets to join the celebration.

These limited-edition cigars come in glossy, stylized boxes made with a scaly, snakeskin-textured exterior. Each Cedro measures 5 3/8 inches by 50 ring gauge (called Dignos in Cuban factories), and has two bands: a traditional Partagás band and a footband in gold and red with a coiled cobra in a golden circle. The cobra is found on the box as well to echo the serpentine motif.

If you can make it to Switzerland before the cigars sell out, the Partagás Cedros has a suggested retail price of 64 Swiss francs each (about $80), or 1,152 Swiss francs per box of 18, which amounts to approximately $1,435. Every box includes an NFC chip affixed to the inner lid, enabling users to scan the box with their phone for instant authentication. Only 18,888 boxes are being produced.

This is the sixth Cuban cigar to celebrate the Lunar new Year, after the Montecristo Brillantes (Year of the Dragon); Cohiba Siglo de Oro (Year of the Rabbit); H. Upmann Magnum 52 (Year of the Tiger); Hoyo de Monterrey Primaveras (Year of the Ox); and Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 (Year of the Rat).
