Crowned Heads Adds More Sizes To Blood Medicine B Positive
Last year, it came out in only a toro, but this month the 2026 limited-edition Blood Medicine B Positive from Crowned Heads will have three new sizes rather than one.
Blood Medicine is a project that started more than a decade ago. It began as an events-only cigar and eventually saw more, expanded releases due to consumer demand, all of which were limited editions.
- 2015: Crowned Heads introduced the brand as a robusto available only at cigar events.
- 2024: Blood Medicine saw its first commercial release as a limited-edition, single-size toro.
- 2025: Blood Medicine was expanded to three sizes.
- 2025: A more full-bodied offshoot called Blood Medicine B Positive was released as a single-size toro.
- 2026: Retailers will soon be getting another dose of B Positive, which is slated for three new sizes expected to ship by the end of this month.
“B-Positive was born from experimentation to push the Blood Medicine blend into new territory—darker, meatier, more intense,” says Crowned Heads president and co-owner Jon Huber. “The response to the initial toro release in 2025 was overwhelming, and expanding to three sizes allows more of our loyalists to experience this powerful expression in formats that fit different occasions and preferences."
Although expanded to three sizes, Crowned Heads Blood Medicine B Positive is made with the same blend as last year: a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper (the original is Ecuador Habano) surrounding an Ecuador Connecticut binder and all-Nicaraguan filler.
The three new sizes are named after their dimensions: 5 x 52 ($11.50), 5 1/2 x 56 ($12.50) and 6 x 54 ($13.50). The cigars come in 21-count boxes, and production is limited to 800 boxes of each size.
Crowned Heads Blood Medicine B Positive—like other brands in the Crowned Heads portfolio such as Juárez and Míl Dias—is produced in Estelí, Nicaragua, at the newly rechristened TacaNicsa factory (formerly D’Hatuey).
