Ashton Shipping Boxes Of La Aroma de Cuba Habano Reserve
La Aroma de Cuba Habano Reserve, a new, limited-release smoke from Ashton Distributors, is shipping now to cigar stores. It’s the eighth version of La Aroma de Cuba.
The cigars are rolled in Nicaragua by the Garcia family at My Father Cigars. It’s available in one size, a 6-inch-by-52-ring-gauge toro known as Monarch. The suggested retail price is $9.85 apiece.
A preview of the new size was initially available as part of a La Aroma sampler pack. Now, the Monarchs are rolling out for the first time in boxes. Production is being limited to 3,000 boxes for the year, with 25 cigars per box. Sathya Levin of Ashton says it will be produced again, with shipments sent to retailers “one to two times annually.”
The wrapper on the cigar is Ecuador Habano, and the tobaccos inside are grown by the Garcias on their farms in Estelí, Jalapa and Namanji, Nicaragua. Ashton says the cigar is blended to be medium to full in body.
