A Limited-Edition Tatuaje Tuxtla For 2026
In recent years, Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars has been experimenting with various blends in his portfolio by changing the wrappers just to see how drastically the flavor can change. The latest in this experimental line of inquiry is the Tatuaje Exclusive Series ES2026 Tuxtla, which began shipping to retailers last week.
Measuring 5 5/8 inches by 54 ring gauge, the ES2026 Tuxtla is made with a soft box pressing and a covered foot. Internally, the blend is identical to last year’s Tatuaje 2025 PCA Exclusive, with binders and fillers from Nicaragua, but the Corojo wrapper has been swapped for a high-priming leaf from Mexico’s Tuxtla region.
The new cigar has a suggested retail price of $15 each, and the company says it’s intended to be medium-to-full in body.
Tatuaje’s Exclusive Series began in 2011 and has been sold as retailer exclusives, limited editions and exclusive releases for both the Tobacconists' Association of America (TAA) and the Premium Cigar Association (PCA).
Like most cigars in Tatuaje’s portfolio, the new smokes are made in Estelí, Nicaragua, at the My Father Cigars S.A. factory. Production is limited to 2,000 cabinets of 20 cigars.
