West Tampa’s Chef Rick Is The Final Cigar In Food-Themed Trilogy
First, there was Boliche Blvd. Then came Devil Crab. Now, West Tampa Tobacco Co. rounds out its food-inspired trilogy with Chef Rick, a new, limited-edition cigar that’s made in Nicaragua.
“A great culinary chef requires technical mastery, immense passion and creativity,” said Rick Rodriguez, co-founder of West Tampa Tobacco Co. He looks at blending tobacco in much the same way, and that was the idea behind his food-themed series of cigars. This new release consists of an Ecuador Habano oscuro wrapper, Sumatra-seed binder from Ecuador and an all-Nicaraguan filler with tobacco from Estelí, Jalapa, Condega and Ometepe.
But West Tampa turned to a new factory to produce Chef Rick.
“I also wanted to take the opportunity to partner with a young, up-and-coming factory, Tabacalera Pages de Nicaragua S.A., to close out this trilogy,” he said. “Having the opportunity to work alongside Raymond Pages Raffo allowed me to bring something new and unique to my fans.”
Available now, Chef Rick comes in one size, a Toro measuring 6 inches by 52 ring gauge. It has a suggested retail price of $12.99 each and comes in 50-count cabinets. Only 1,000 boxes are being produced.
