Villiger North America is expanding its 1888 series with a new line extension distinguished by a dark wrapper grown in Mexico’s San Andrés valley. Called Villiger 1888 San Andrés, the cigars started shipping this week.

Underneath the Mexican cover leaf is an Ecuador Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler for a blend that’s intended to be a medium-to-full in body. The line is made at the Villiger de Nicaragua factory in Estelí and comes in three box-pressed sizes: Robusto, measuring 5 inches by 50 ring gauge ($12); Toro, 6 by 50 ($12.50); and Churchill, 7 by 47 ($13). All sizes are packaged in 20-count boxes.
