Trinidad Esmeralda measures 5 3/4 inches by 53 ring gauge and comes packaged in 12-count boxes.

Cuban Trinidad Esmeraldas are shipping to retailers around the world. First shown at the 2019 Habanos Festival, the Esmeraldas measure 5 3/4 inches by 53 ring gauge and are the final size in a trio of new, regular-production Trinidads created to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary (the Topes and Media Lunas were released late last year).

Like the other new Trinidads, Esmeraldas come packaged in boxes of 12. All are topped with the signature Trinidad pigtail cap. If the 53 ring gauge looks strange, it’s because this is a new Cuban format classified in factories as dinoras.

Switzerland was one of the first countries to receive the Esmeraldas, which retail there for 23.50 Swiss Francs (about $24.36). Germany has received an allotment as well where Esmeraldas will cost you 17 euro each (around $19).

In France, the Esmeraldas are soon to launch with a retail price of 17.80 euro ($19.65).

Should your travels take you to Lebanon, Esmeraldas will set you back $15.40 each at Beirut duty-free shops (20 cents more at Dubai duty free). These countries receive its Cuban cigars from Phoenicia Trading A.A., the official distributor of Cuban cigars for more than 40 countries, including Lebanon, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and nations in the Middle East.

On the other side of the globe, the Asia Pacific region has just released the Esmeralda, but in this traditionally expensive market, the cigar will cost significantly more. It sells in Hong Kong for HK$448 ($57.65) each.

The U.K. will be launching the Esmeraldas soon, and while the distributor, Hunters & Frankau, has yet to establish a retail price, you can expect it to skew high. Like Asia Pacific, the U.K. is one of the most expensive markets in the world for Cuban cigars.
