Sun & Moon: A Collaboration Between Don Emmanuel Cigars And Eladio Diaz
One box, two blends. That’s how the upcoming Don Emmanuel Sun & Moon brand will be packaged, and it’s debuting next week at Empire Cigar Lounge in Miami, on March 25. The cigars are a collaboration between Don Emmanuel Cigars and industry veteran Eladio Diaz, who produces the cigars in the Dominican Republic—and Diaz will be at the premiere. It will be one of Diaz’s very few public engagements outside of the Dominican Republic and his first appearance at a Miami event.
Each box of Sun & Moon contains 14 cigars, seven Suns and seven Moons. The Sun blend consists of Dominican tobacco, save for the Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper. The more full-bodied Moon is made with an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Mexican binder and Dominican filler. Both measure 6 1/2 inches by 50 ring gauge and retail for $25 apiece, or $350 per box. Only 777 numbered boxes are being released. They are made in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera (TDC).
According to Don Emmanuel, the name was inspired by the natural balance between opposing forces: “Sun & Moon reflects the relationship between light and time, energy and reflection. The Sun blend captures brightness and vitality intended for daytime enjoyment, while the Moon blend reveals a deeper and more contemplative character suited for the evening.”
Sun & Moon will also be shown at the upcoming PCA trade show in New Orleans next month. The cigars are slated to ship around the end of April.
Don Emmanuel is a Miami-based company that started in 2023 and makes all its cigars via TDC.
