Limited Edition Honduran Bolivar Aniversario To Ship
The Cuban Bolivar brand turned 130 years old in 2022 and Scandinavian Tobacco Group, which owns the trademark to the far younger non-Cuban version of the cigar, is releasing a limited-edition smoke to (belatedly) mark the occasion. Called Bolivar Aniversario, it begins shipping to retailers March 12.
Made in Honduras at STG’s HATSA factory, Aniversario is available in one vitola—a Toro measuring 6 inches by 52 ring gauge. Its six-country blend consists of an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Brazilian Arapiraca binder and fillers from Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. That final leaf is one rarely seen in premium cigars.
Most limited editions are pricey, but the Bolivar Aniversario is inexpensive, much like the core Bolivar brands in STG’s portfolio. It has a suggested retail price of $9.99 and is packed in boxes of 10.
