La Aurora To Launch Limited-Edition Preferidos Hors D’Age
If you went to the ProCigar Festival in the Dominican Republic earlier this year, you may have received a sample of the La Aurora Preferidos Hors D’Age 2017. Next week, it will be formally introduced at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, and the company says that all the tobacco in the cigar was grown in 2006.
That means its Ecuadoran binder and wrapper underwent twice the amount of aging as most of the tobacco in La Aurora’s premium lines. The fillers as well, which are from Colombia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
These smokes were made in a Toro format (6 inches by 54 ring) and come packaged in boxes of 15. According to La Aurora, only 6,000 boxes were produced. Each cigar will retail for $20 each.
As the band indicates, the cigars were rolled in 2017, but were held until this year to allow for extra aging.
Like all cigars from La Aurora, the Preferidos Hors D’Age 2017 were made at the La Aurora S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic.
