La Aroma de Cuba Small Batch Shipping
Ashton Distributors’ La Aroma de Cuba brand keeps growing and this week the company began shipping its latest installment: Small Batch. As the name implies, it’s not a regular-production line but one that will be released annually in smaller quantities. It began shipping to tobacconists this week.
Small Batch is available in a single size, a Toro measuring 6 inches by 52 ring gauge that retails for $25 apiece. Blended by José “Pepin” and Jaime Garcia, Small Batch reportedly comprises entirely of leaves that have been aged for five years. The blend consists of a high-priming Ecuador Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers hailing from the Jalapa, Estelí, Condega and Namanji regions.
According to Ashton, every leaf of tobacco used for La Aroma de Cuba Small Batch “undergoes an extensive triple fermentation,” before each cigar is rolled entubado style and topped with a Cuban-style triple cap. In terms of strength, the cigar is intended to be full-bodied.
La Aroma de Cuba Small Batch is rolled in Nicaragua at the My Father Cigars factory. Production for 2025 is limited to 2,000 boxes of 24 cigars.
