Inner Circle By Cavalier Genève Expands With Domaine Rouge Line
Swiss cigar company Cavalier Genève is widening its inner circle—the brand, that is. Called Inner Circle Domaine Rouge, the new cigars are an offshoot of the original Inner Circle line, which came out last year. Like the original, Domaine Rouge will debut at the PCA trade show where it will be available for preorder before shipping to retailers shortly after the convention.
The new brand is named after the red Honduran factory where these cigars are made, but for brand owner Sébastien Decoppet, the Domaine Rouge has additional, sentimental meaning. It’s not only a tribute to those who support the company, but also to his father Pascal, who passed away in 2021. The two had a shared love of cigars and wine and the box shows an image of a wine chateau behind a tobacco field. The lid is also emblazoned with the year of Pascal’s birth, 1956.
The line will be available in four sizes: Petit Robusto, measuring 4 1/2 inches by 50 ring gauge; Robusto Grande, 5 by 54; Toro, 6 by 52; and Figurado, 6 by 52. Shipping in cabinets of 24 cigars, the cigars will have suggested retail prices ranging between $14.10 and $15.40, before taxes.
Domaine Rouge consists of a Habano cover leaf grown in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras, a Honduran Connecticut-seed binder and a mix of viso fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras and Paraguay.
“Like the Inner Circle, which was created as an ongoing tribute to the people that support Cavalier Genève Cigars, the new Domaine Rouge is a legacy and remembrance of my father who I’m sure would have been as grateful as we all are to see Cavalier come so far,” Decoppet said.
