Ferio Tego Ships Summa Line
Now in its third year of operation, Ferio Tego is shipping a new line today called Summa, which is the first Ferio Tego flagship brand in regular production. Previous cigars that carried the Ferio Tego name—the Elegancia and Generoso—were annual limited editions. Made by the Quesada family in the Dominican Republic, Ferio Tego Summa will also be on display at this year’s PCA trade show.
“The word summa means a ‘comprehensive work’, a ‘summary’ or a ‘synthesis of the body of work thus far.’ Ferio Tego Summa is a blend that embodies the diversity and complexity of the Ferio Tego portfolio,” said co-owner Michael Herklots in a press release.
Ferio Tego Summa is a three-country blend and consists of an Ecuador Corojo wrapper atop an Ecuadoran Sumatra-seed binder and a mix of Nicaraguan and Dominican filler. According to the company, the cigars are full-bodied.
The line comes in the following sizes: Corona Gorda, measuring 5 3/4 inches by 46 ring gauge ($18); Robusto, 5 by 50 ($19); Torpedo, 6 1/4 by 52 ($20); and Gordo, 6 by 60 ($21). All sizes ship in boxes of 10 cigars.
