Drew Estate’s 20 Acre Farm Line Highlights Florida Tobacco
A trio of mystery cigars sent out by Drew Estate to attendees of last week’s “Freestyle Live: Special Edition” broadcast on Facebook Live were unveiled as a new regular-production line called 20 Acre Farm, which features some Florida-grown tobacco in its blend. Retailers can expect to start receiving the new cigars early next month.
The 20 Acre Farm line is rolled with a light Ecuador Connecticut cover leaf, a sun-grown Honduran Habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, along with some Florida tobacco grown by Jeff Borysiewicz of Corona Cigar Co. at his 20-acre farm near Clermont.
Florida was once known as a major producer of cigar tobacco and Borysiewicz is the only farm currently growing premium tobacco in the Sunshine State.
The cigars were blended by Willy Herrera, master blender at Drew Estate.
Billed as medium in body, 20 Acre Farm comes in three vitolas: Toro, measuring 6 inches by 52 ring gauge ($13.30); Robusto, 5 1/4 by 54 ($12.40); and Gordito, 6 by 60 ($15.40). All are packaged in 20-count boxes.
Borysiewicz has provided Drew Estate with tobacco from his farms in the past with the Florida Sun Grown line.
