Cigar Aficionado’s First 2024 Presidential Poll—Trump In The Lead
President Biden and former President Trump will debate each other tonight for the first time since 2020. The election is a little more than four months away, and the two candidates are neck-and-neck in most polls, so we sent a survey to a random sampling of our subscriber list to find out how they intend to vote.
We found that just over half of the voters (53.2 percent) are registered republicans, 16.8 percent are registered democrats and 30 percent say they are independent. The survey was answered by 447 subscribers to Cigar Aficionado magazine.

| Republican | 53.2% |
| Independent | 30.0% |
| Democrat | 16.8% |
More than half of those we surveyed—58.6 percent—said they intend to vote for Donald Trump, while 28.6 percent said they would be voting for Joe Biden. A little more than 10 percent of the voters remain undecided, or intend to vote for a third-party candidate.
Who Do You Intend To Vote For?

| Joe Biden | 28.6% |

More than 60 percent of the voters are between the ages of 51 and 70. The random respondents were split almost evenly geographically. The biggest group of voters was from the south, the fewest from the west. The voters tended to be well educated, with more than 85 percent having a college degree. Nearly all of the respondents (more than 96 percent) were male.
