Casa de Montecristo Opens Two More Cigar Lounges
A pair of new Casa de Montecristo branded cigar shops opened last month. The first is located in West Palm Beach, Florida, inside a Smoke Inn tobacconist. The second is in Villa Park, Illinois, in a space that was previously 8 to 8 Cigars.
Casa de Montecristo is a national chain of cigar stores owned by Tabacalera USA—parent company of Altadis U.S.A.—a tobacco giant that controls the Montecristo trademark for the U.S. market.
“These expansions reflect our commitment to creating the ultimate destinations for cigar enthusiasts, where community, culture and craftsmanship come together,” says Sherri Sieminski, CEO of Casa de Montecristo. “With our new partnerships and rebranded lounges, we’re excited to bring the Casa experience to more passionate aficionados nationwide.”
On August 30, the newly converted Casa de Montecristo in Illinois hosted a launch party for the Montecristo 90th Anniversary cigar brand. The event also served as a 30th anniversary celebration of 8 to 8 Cigars, which opened in 1995.
Both stores, which are licensed agreements, measure approximately 3,000 square feet, with much of the footage dedicated to lounge space.
These new openings bring the total number of Casa de Montecristo locations to 21 (14 company-owned and seven licensed retail partners).
