Alec Bradley Filthy Ghooligan Haunting Humidors Early
While there are still a few weeks left of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, some people (and companies) are already focused on the fall. Forged Cigar Co. is one of them. This week, the distributor sent out first shipments of the Alec Bradley Filthy Ghooligan, a Halloween-themed cigar meant for puffing during the spooky season.
The Filthy Ghoolingan is an autumnal offshoot of the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan, which comes out around St. Patrick’s Day. Both are barber-pole-style cigars with two intertwined wrappers of contrasting shades. In this case, the Filthy Ghooligan’s dramatic two-toned effect was done with near-black U.S. broadleaf against a lighter leaf of Ecuador Habano. Underneath is an Indonesian binder and a filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco.
This is the Filthy Ghooligan’s second act, as the line premiered in September 2024. Like last year’s release, it’s a 6-inch-by-50-ring gauge toro made in Honduras at the HATSA factory with the same blend and same box count of 24 cigars. The price, however, has gone up 40 cents: it now retails for $14.49 per cigar, before taxes.
