Camacho Factory Unleashed Returns
The third installment of Camacho Factory Unleashed, an annual, limited-edition series, will head to retailers tomorrow. Made in a single-sized Toro, each year’s release is given its own unique blend with the goal of creating a bold smoking experience.
Rolled in the same dimensions as the previous two releases (6 inches by 50 ring gauge), this year’s Camacho Factory Unleashed 3 turns to Mexico with a maduro wrapper from the San Andrés Valley. It covers a Honduran binder and filler from Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Some of the tobacco leaves in the filler are Corojo-seed varietals from both countries. According to brand owner Davidoff of Geneva, the blend is medium to full in body.
A bit of exposed binder leaf extends beyond the foot, which allows the smoker to taste the binder and filler tobaccos before the wrapper comes into play.
The new Toro has a suggested retail price of $9 each (before taxes).
Produced in Honduras at the Camacho Factory, the cigars come in rustic, wooden 100-count crates. Only 1,000 crates are being produced, which will go out to brick-and-mortar shops. An additional 2,500 paper-wrapped bundles of 10 will also be sent out to online retailers.
