Ashton Set To Debut San Cristobal Golden Hour
Golden hour is the time just after a sunrise or right before sunset. It’s light out, but it’s a softer, gentler, redder light than you’d find during the rest of the day, ideal for photographs. The evening version of golden hour is also a particularly perfect time to reward yourself with a cocktail or a cigar. Or perhaps both.
The newest smoke from Ashton Distributors Inc. is named for that time, the San Cristobal Golden Hour. Meant to celebrate when day meets dusk, this new line is made in Nicaragua by the Garcia family of My Father Cigars using a blend of Ecuador Habano wrappers, Nicaraguan fillers and Nicaraguan binders. The filler tobaccos come from the Garcia’s farms in Estelí, Jalapa, Condega and Namanji.
Golden Hour will be offered in six sizes, each packaged in 25-count boxes, with prices ranging from $11.40 to $13 each. Magico measures 5 1/2 inches long by 50 ring gauge, Bonito is 6 by 52, Angelico is 7 by 49, Dorado (a pyramid) is 6 1/8 by 52, Ocaso is 6 by 60 and Pacifico is 6 1/2 by 64. The cigars are intended to be medium-to-full in body.
