Alec Bradley Breaks Out The Molds For Sampler Set
A new limited-edition sampler pack from Alec Bradley is expected to start shipping to American retailers ahead of the holiday season called Reclaimed. The name refers to the way the cigars are packaged: rather than a typical wooden sampler box, they come in a specially adapted factory-used cigar mold made of reclaimed wood.
“These 800 cigar molds may have reached the end of their manufacturing process lifecycle, but their usefulness and novelty have yet to expire,” says Bradley Rubin. “Repurposing them to house limited-edition cigars is a fun way to bring a little piece of the factory to our customers and enhance the overall smoking experience.”
Inside the Reclaimed cigar mold are seven individual cigars, each a different blend but all presented in the same vitola: a 6 1/4 inch by 54 ring gauge Figurado made specifically for the set. The cigars will come in the following blends: Alec Bradley Black Market, Medalist, Maxx, Prensado, Magic Toast, Tempus and Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper. The molds are specially routed with new slots intended to fit the cigars.
Production will be limited to 800 individually numbered sets. The suggested retail price, before tax, is $79.95 per set, which works out to almost $11.50 per cigar.
All the cigars are manufactured in Danlí Honduras: Prensado, Magic Toast and Tempus are rolled at the Raices Cubanas factory, whereas Gatekeeper, Black Market, Medalist and Maxx are made at Tabacos de Oriente.
