Ferio Tego’s limited-production Generoso and Elegancia blends are returning to market after nearly two years, but this time, the company stated the cigars come with some additional aging. The extra-aged cigars are expected to ship to retailers on August 27.

First released in 2021, the Ferio Tego Generoso and Elegancia were the company’s flagship brands and released annually in limited quantities. The last release was in 2023. Inspired by the culture of aging and collecting—particularly in the wine industry—Ferio Tego produced the 2024 edition in late 2023 and left it to age for 22 months.

“Each year, we approach these blends with the same commitment to style and structure, but also with the freedom to let the tobaccos speak for themselves,” says Ferio Tego co-founder Michael Herklots. “Much like wine, no two vintages are identical. Our goal is to capture the best possible expression of Elegancia and Generoso in each annual production.”

Both cigars come in one size, a Toro measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge, and the blends remain the same. Elegancia is made in the Dominican Republic by the Quesada family, and wrapped in a light Ecuadoran cover leaf atop a Dominican binder and combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. Manufactured by Plasencia Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, the darker Generoso consists of a Honduran sun-grown wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.

Both the Elegancia and Generoso come in travel humidors holding 10 cigars and have suggested retail prices of $240 per box, or $24 per cigar. An NFC chip on the humidors provide customers with additional information regarding the blends.

Ferio Tego cigars are distributed by Davidoff of Geneva USA.
