A Cuban Juan Lopez Exclusively For Mexico
Kiss me a lot. That’s the name of the new Cuban Regional Edition cigar coming to Mexico in a few weeks and it will be offered in a large format. The Juan Lopez Bésame Mucho measures 6 1/2 inches by 54 ring gauge (a Sublimes size in Cuban cigar factories) and is scheduled to debut at a premiere party on April 24 before its commercial release the next day.
The event will take place at a venue called Grand Cigar The Experience, which is often used for cigar premiere parties. Bésame Mucho is slated to retail for 1,066 Mexican pesos per cigar, which works out to around $60 each, and will come packaged in 10-count boxes. The slightly sultry name comes from a Mexican song written by Consuelo Velásquez in 1932, and is considered an important contribution to the country’s culture.
Secondary box and band labels that read “Exclusivo Mexico” identify the Juan Lopez Bésame Mucho as a Regional Edition cigar.
