ProCigar Announces Next Festival
The ProCigar Festival, a weeklong celebration of Dominican cigars and culture, will return to the island of Hispaniola February 21 through 26, 2016.
The event features tours of cigar factories and tobacco fields, plenty of cigars and meetings with the biggest names of the Dominican premium cigar industry.
At past ProCigars, attendees would begin in La Romana for more lifestyle-centric experiences such as golf, horseback riding and scuba diving, before moving on to Santiago, where many of the events revolve around cigar factory and tobacco field tours. But for 2016, organizers have adjusted the schedule, and guests can expect to start in Punta Cana before moving on to Santiago.
In addition to plenty of cigar events, there are gala evenings with cigar-friendly dining, including the traditional White Party held at Monumento a los Heroes de la Restauracion.
