Drew Estate CEO Glenn Wolfson: 1955–2026
Glenn Wolfson, who had served as CEO of Drew Estate just a few weeks shy of 10 years, died yesterday at age 70. No successor has been named, and the company says it will continue to be led by its executive team until a new CEO is formally announced. Drew Estate is known in the cigar industry for its infused products such as Acid and Tabak Especial, as well as its premium cigar lines including Liga Privada and Undercrown.
Wolfson joined Drew Estate as CEO in 2016, nearly two years after Drew Estate was acquired by corporate giant Swisher International. During his time with the company, Wolfson oversaw what Drew Estate calls an important era in transformation.
“Under his leadership, Drew Estate transformed its operations, dedicated itself to serving as a most trusted provider to its trade partners and consumers, and established itself as leader in supporting and protecting the premium cigar industry,” the company said in a statement. “Importantly, Glenn helped guide that change while staying true to Drew Estate’s mission, core ideology and iconic culture . . . . He had a genuine love for premium cigars and, above all, a profound appreciation for the people he worked with, both at Drew Estate and throughout the industry, and that profound appreciation was reciprocated.”
Drew Estate, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is still owned by parent company Swisher International.
