Michael Giannini Joins Perdomo Cigars

Cigar industry veteran Michael Giannini has returned to the business and has joined Perdomo Cigars. The Florida-based company has hired Giannini as a national sales and marketing representative, where his focus will be on driving sales, building relationships and promoting the company’s products on a national level.

Carrying 42 years of experience in the cigar industry under his belt, Giannini got his start as a cigar store clerk in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, when he was 21. He worked at Ashton Distributors, then joined La Gloria Cubana as sales manager and then director of marketing. For 17 years, he served as creative director for General Cigar Co. and worked at Ventura Cigar Co. as creative director and general manager between 2017 to 2020.

“Michael’s unique blend of experience, creativity, and genuine love for premium cigars makes him a perfect fit for our team,” said Nick Perdomo, the president and CEO of Perdomo Cigars. “His innovative approach and ability to connect with cigar enthusiasts align seamlessly with the values we uphold at Perdomo Cigars. We are excited to welcome him to our family and look forward to the contributions he will bring to our continued success.”

Perdomo Cigars is the maker of the Perdomo 30th Anniversary Sun Grown Epicure, which is currently ranked as the No. 16 Cigar of 2024.

“I have had the privilege of knowing Nick Perdomo since the early days of Nick’s Cigar Company,” Giannini said in a press release, referring to the original name of Perdomo’s cigar operations, which opened in August, 1992. “As a cigar enthusiast and an industry veteran, I truly believe Perdomo’s products speak for themselves. I am honored to join the Perdomo family and contribute to this incredible journey.”
