After 15 years with one of the largest family-owned cigar operations in the premium segment, Liana Fuente is resigning from the Arturo Fuente Cigar Co. effective September 1. She served as the company’s vice president of brand development and is the daughter of company patriarch and owner Carlos Fuente Jr.

“Working alongside my father was one of the most rewarding and challenging aspects of my tenure at the company,” said Fuente. “Being such a creative genius, he formed the foundations of what today is known as the Fuente Look. Along the way, I was blessed to take on the reins of so many projects and given the opportunity to originate new ones.”

Fuente first learned the cigar world through her grandfather, the late Carlos A. Fuente Sr., who hired her and taught her the many aspects of the industry. She later gravitated toward the marketing side of the business, focusing on the company’s brand development, marketing and advertising initiatives.

Despite stepping down, Fuente will still be an active member of the board of directors for C. Fuente Holdings Inc., and the company’s Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.
