Joshua Habursky Named Executive Director Of The PCA
After serving as interim executive director for the last few months, Joshua Habursky has officially been named as the newest executive director of the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) by the board of directors.
Habursky started with the association in 2018, working as an outside government affairs consultant. He has since held numerous roles with the PCA, including serving as deputy executive director before being given the title of interim executive director of the PCA following Scott Pearce’s departure from the organization back in April.
“For the past five years, we have been able to work effectively with Josh to accomplish the goals of the association related to advocacy,” says Scott Regina, president of the PCA board of directors. “We are confident of his ability to take on the additional responsibility of running the full association moving forward.”
Habursky will continue his efforts as the chief lobbyist for the PCA, but will also take on additional responsibilities working with the internal staff and the PCA’s team of consultants. In a press release, the PCA stated it would be implementing a new, five-year strategic plan, as well as adding new hires to the team in the coming months to support its annual trade show. According to the PCA, Habursky signed a contract that puts him in the role of executive director through 2028.
“I am honored and excited to lead the Premium Cigar Association into its next chapter,” says Habursky. “I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to work alongside a phenomenal staff and experienced board of directors.”
