Drew Estate To Ship Year of the Rats for Virtual Events
Drew Estate recently canceled its 2020 Barn Smoker events due to the Coronavirus and will be hosting virtual cigar events throughout the summer and fall for all of their loyal fans. As a special incentive, the company will be shipping the new Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat to Drew Diplomat retailers hosting virtual events, starting on June 1.
This release will be showcased on Drew Estate’s upcoming Freestyle Live: Special Edition hosted on their Facebook page on June 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. EST. The virtual event will include special guests, surprise announcements and giveaways for all online attendees.
The Liga Privada Unico Year of the Rat comes in a 5 1/2 inches by 46 ring gauge size with a fantail cap. The cigar’s Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper encases a Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran filler.
Each Year of the Rat comes wrapped in gold foil and is packaged in a 10-count Liga Privada Unico box that retails for $159.97, or about $16 per cigar.
Liga Privada has grown immensely since it first debuted in 2007 in only one size. The cigar has spawned a slew of offshoot lines and remains one of the hottest cigars on the market–it even earned the No. 10 spot found itself in the top 10 of our 2015 Top 25 list. Drew Estate is now owned by tobacco giant Swisher International, which acquired the brand in 2014.
