Big Smoke Meets WhiskyFest was an indoor and outdoor event. Here, enjoying the lovely Tampa weather, cigar and whisky fans lit up and drank up.

Big Smoke Meets WhiskyFest returned to Tampa, Florida, for the second year in a row, and it didn’t disappoint. The smoky celebration included a sold-out crowd of diehard aficionados who came to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to enjoy cigars and exceptional whiskies with a lineup of all-star cigarmakers.

As enthusiasts eagerly made their way into the event they were greeted by a shining sun, a light breeze and live music that streamed through the open doors of the resort’s pool area, which was reserved for the show. Inside the conference hall, the lively crowd roamed around with lit smokes, Cigar Aficionado tote bags full of cigars and drinks in-hand.

Big Smoke
A common scene at Big Smokes: receiving a cigar straight from the hands of the cigarmaker himself. In this case, Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana.

Guests traveled from across the country to be in attendance, including some from as far as New Mexico and Alaska. Thankfully for these passionate fans, Big Smoke Meets WhiskyFest lived up to the hype. As the night went on, most of the guests slowly ventured back outside with their whisky and cigars to mingle amid a sea of tables and a beautiful Tampa evening.

Big Smoke
Each spirits booth had a variety of choices, such as the three kinds of Dewar’s (including the ever-so-rare 19 year old) poured for the guests.

The next Big Smoke will take place in Las Vegas, and it’s a two-day event, running from October 31 to November 1. Visit thebigsmokes.com for more information and to order tickets.
