What's The Best Way To Use A Leather Travel Cigar Case?
Load it with tubed or cellophaned cigars. An aluminum tube or a sleeve of cellophane will protect your cigars from the rough interior of your cigar case. While some like to remove the cello for long-term aging, we like to keep a few cigars in the cellophane for extra protection, such as when you're walking about without a cigar case, or in your situation, with a cigar case that actually hurts your cigars.
Tubes are also good to have on hand when you need that extra measure of protection.
The other option is to invest in a case with a soft leather interior. The better cases on the market today are lined with calf's leather or a similarly supple variety. A hard case lined with cedar is also another option to consider.
