Partagas Y Nada Mas Cibao Now Shipping
Partagas Y Nada Mas Santiago now has a sequel. Scandinavian Tobacco Group is expanding the brand with a new line called Partagas Y Nada Mas Cibao, and it’s rolled with a filler blend of tobacco that’s primarily from the Cibao Valley, an important growing region in the Dominican Republic. The new smokes are headed to cigar shops today.
While the original Partagás was born in Cuba, the Partagas Y Nada Mas series celebrates the brand’s Dominican history. Partagas Y Nada Mas Cibao is made with an Ecuadoran Corojo wrapper, an Ecuadoran Sumatra binder and a filler mix of Pennsylvanian broadleaf and two tobaccos sourced from the Cibao region in the Dominican Republic: Havana Vuelta Abajo (HVA) and Criollo. It’s billed as a medium-to-full-bodied blend.
The cigars come in three sizes: Robusto, measuring 5 inches by 50 ring gauge ($7.99); Toro, 6 by 52 ($8.99); and Gordo, 6 by 60 ($9.99). All three vitolas ship in red-and-black, 20-count boxes.
Partagas Y Nada Mas Cibao is produced at the Tabacalera La Isla factory in the Dominican Republic. The first installment in the series, Partagas Y Nada Mas Santiago, was released last year and is made at the Tabacalera William Ventura factory. Both lines are distributed by Forged Cigar Co., a subsidiary of STG.
