LA AROMA DE CUBA MI AMOR RESERVA MAXIMO

Tasting Note
Ashton's La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor brand has made its mark on Cigar Aficionado's tasting panel. The Belicoso size was the magazine's No. 2 cigar of 2011, scoring 95 points, classic on our 100-point scale. After that accolade, Ashton decided to make a stronger, one-size version of the smoke and the result is the superb Maximo. Made with a similar, but not identical, blend to that of the traditional Mi Amor line, the Maximo gets some of its more powerful flavor via a high-priming wrapper leaf grown from Cuban seeds in Mexico's lush San Andrés Valley. The well-made cigar has hickory and almond notes that lead into hints of dark chocolate and earth. It's another memorable smoke from the Garcias and Levins.
